As COVID-19 hit thousands of Ontarians, health care workers have been stretched to their limits and registered nurses are one such group that are seeing an incredible impact with many feeling burned out and according to the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, thousands are not taking time off and are working on their days off. It's leading to many having to take stress leave or even quit.
A recent poll that surveyed 2,600 practical nurses across Ontario found more than half reporting they were coping "poorly" or "extremely poorly."
As Kamil Karamali reports, some say they feel abandoned.
