COVID-19: Meet the doctor who's worked every day of pandemic

Dr Zahid Chauhan hasn't been able to take time off since March 2020. His role as a doctor and cabinet member for health and social care in Oldham Council means he has spent the majority of the COVID-19 pandemic treating patients and influencing policy.

Although Dr Chauhan says he feels 'privileged and honoured' to have worked through the pandemic, the 44-year-old has witnessed both patients and colleagues dying, causing him to feel 'really, really low'.
