Cost of Living: One in 20 adults ran out of food in the previous two weeks- ONS

Official data shows that renters, young people, and single parents are amongst those hit hardest by the soaring cost of living.

Research by the Office for National Statistics revealed that 28 percent of single parents ran out of food over the previous two weeks.

Amongst renters, one in seven, or 14% ran out of food - and couldn't afford to buy more.
