Cost of living crisis: Truss will take 'meaningful action'

Simon Clarke, the new levelling up secretary, says new prime minister Liz Truss will take "meaningful action" later to tackle the energy crisis.

Ms Truss is due to unveil what measures she'll take to cap soaring energy bills ahead of the 80% rise in the price cap in October.

Reports suggest bills will be capped at £2,500 a year.
