Canada is ramping up its vaccination roll-out at a rate some people did not expect. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced Tuesday that hundreds of thousands of COVID-19 vaccine doses will arrive by the end of 2020 and the contract for the Moderna vaccine had been updated.
Up to 168,000 doses will be shipped before the end of December and while Health Canada hasn't yet approved it, deliveries could begin within 48 hours of approval.
As a result of more vaccines, up to 70 vaccination sites could be open by next week. Mike Le Couteur reports.
