Climate activists staged a protest in Glasgow, Scotland on Tuesday, inspired by Netflix series "Squid Game," to tell world leaders to “stop playing games with the climate crisis.”

The protesters dressed up as various leaders, such as U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, and played games of tug of war and hopscotch, mirroring the fictional challenges faced by contestants in the South Korean hit series.

"This is a playful way of saying: stop the games, take it seriously, act on the climate crisis," head of politics at Green Alliance, Chris Venables, said.

The U.N. Climate Change Conference (COP26) aims to keep alive a target of capping global warming at 1.5 C above pre-industrial levels to avert still greater damage from the intensified heatwaves, droughts, storms, floods and coastal damage that climate change is already causing.
