Despite many arguments backing its importance in facing the climate crisis, Conservatives have criticized the federal government’s carbon policies as too costly to Canadians' bottom lines.

Now, a new report from Canada's parliamentary budget officer is adding more fuel to the fire.

It suggests certain Canadians may benefit more from carbon price rebates because of the tax — but with a very important catch.
