At the age of 25, Carla Cressy was diagnosed with endometriosis in an emergency operation. But it came too late - she was left with irreversible organ damage and infertility.

"They said it looked like someone had poured cement into my pelvis, everything was just stuck together by so much scar tissue and blood," she says.
