Canada's endometriosis patients plead for national action plan

Endometriosis is a painful gynecological disorder, affecting more than half a million women in Canada. Yet, delays in diagnoses have become an unfortunate norm, and it's costing the country's health-care system close to $2 billion annually.

Kolbi Morley, diagnosed at 33 years old, says for almost two decades she was ignored by doctors.

Now, some patients plan to go overseas for surgery or further treatment, citing unbearable pain and failures of the Canadian health-care system. "I'll do anything to get my quality of life back," Morley said. Jamie Mauracher has more.
