Car rams Jerusalem bus stop killing 2 people, including a child

A six-year-old boy and 20-year-old man were killed when a suspect rammed their vehicle into a bus stop on the outskirts of Jerusalem. on Friday, Israeli police said.

The driver, identified as Hussein Qraqaa, 31, was shot and killed at the scene, according to police.

“The police will not stand for this type of terror on our civilians,” said a police spokesperson in the wake of the attack. “The terrorist was neutralized by an off-duty police officer that was in the area. And he prevented a much more heinous terror attack from taking place.”

The boy’s 12-year-old brother was also critically injured, local news reported.

The incident took place during a period of high-tension in the region after a Palestinian gunman opened fire outside a synagogue last month, killing seven people.
