A family business owned by Canadians, MHD Nazier Houranieh & Sons Co., calls itself a pioneer in the global metals trade.

But one of its owners, a Canadian man named Chadi Houranieh is being accused of being involved in Syria's brutal chemical weapons program, nearly 10 years since the Ghouta chemical attack, one of the deadliest uses of sarin gas.
