Canada is recording surprisingly strong job growth, as Statistics Canada reveals the country's overall employment is now higher than it was before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The economy added 154,000 new jobs in November, and the national unemployment rate dropped to six per cent, down from 6.7 per cent in October. There was also strong growth in full-time jobs for women aged 25 to 54, as the sector hit an all-time high of 80.7 per cent.

David Akin explains what sent thousands of Canadians into the job market in November, and how some businesses are still trying to find workers.
