Members of Canada's defence committee that is probing allegations of high-level misconduct in the Canadian Forces heard from a whistleblower on Friday, who sources told Global News was the senior naval officer who reported an allegation of sexual misconduct against Chief of the Defence Staff Adm. Art McDonald last month, and has allegedly received anonymous threats since.

Lt.-Cmdr. Raymond Trotter testified he felt he had been "running in circles" trying to find an avenue to report the allegation first brought to him about McDonald on Feb. 3.

David Akin reports on what Trotter said during his testimony and what Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan told MPs during the committee.
