Distribution of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is still on hold in Canada, but the National Advisory Council on Immunization (NACI) is now recommending it for Canadians 30 and up.

Yet the committee is also saying others might want to wait for an mRNA vaccine from Pfizer or Moderna, contradicting earlier advice the people should get the first vaccine available to them. As David Akin reports, it's causing further confusion during the country's accelerating vaccine campaign.
Meanwhile, there's new concern in the United States on achieving herd immunity against the virus.

Medical experts now believe that country is unlikely to reach herd immunity as demand for vaccines continue to decline there, raising doubts there will be enough immunizations to meet the required threshold.

So what does that mean for Canada's vaccination own efforts in order to eradicate COVID-19? Eric Sorensen looks at the chances and complications of getting rid of the virus for good.
