The federal government has officially announced it will drop masking rules and COVID-19 vaccine requirements for travellers, including the mandatory use of the ArriveCAN app, starting October 1.

Mandatory mask use in airports, on planes, and on trains is optional as of Saturday. Despite that, many Canadians plan to keep the mask as a means of staying protected against the virus.
