The federal government is putting tighter controls on people crossing the border, and changes are also being made to the rollout of Canada’s Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. Health Canada has approved a request to extract six doses out of each vial instead of five. Abigail Bimman has more on the change, and why one province isn’t happy about it.

Newfoundland and Labrador, which had kept COVID-19 numbers low, is now dealing with a worrying surge. As Ross Lord reports, it is happening the week of a provincial election.
