An atmospheric river dumped more torrential rain on California on Wednesday, forcing evacuations and causing power outages and road closures.
In San Clemente, a beachfront community between Los Angeles and San Diego, coastal homes were evacuated due to landslides, including one where a backyard swimming pool was left dangling over the edge.
"It sounded kind of like an earthquake," said C.J. Smith, 41, whose home was affected.
