Calgary police are investigating after four men were injured in a series of random attacks in the downtown early Friday morning.

At around 3:15 a.m., police said a man called for help from a CTrain Station saying he had been slashed by a machete.

A second man was found unconscious in a downtown bus shelter about half an hour later, according to police.

Another man was found at around 4 a.m. Police said he was knocked unconscious and woke up a short time later.

A fourth victim was identified later on Friday, located near Calgary’s Peace Bridge with injuries to his hand.

Three of the men were taken to hospital while another was not.

As Tracy Nagai reports, police are concerned because it appears these attacks are random.
