An early morning helicopter crash near Petawawa, Ont. has turned into a desperate search and rescue mission after the Canadian Department of Defence says two members of a CH-147 Chinook helicopter are missing.
The chopper crashed into the Ottawa River around midnight while the four-person crew was participating in a training flight.
Two members of the chopper were rescued by first responders and are now in hospital, and the prime minister says he’s hopeful the other members can be rescued.
Mackenzie Gray has more.
