For any parent it would be an awful dilemma. Their child is desperately ill with a rare and inherited disease. Then comes hope, a radical solution using genetic technology. But there's a catch. They need a compatible donor who is genetically perfect, and the only way to provide that donor is to create one. That means having another baby, a baby specifically designed to save their child. In America, the Nash family faced this dilemma.
