Suella Braverman has resigned from Liz Truss's government after sending an official document from her personal email and took aim at the prime minister as she departed the Home Office.

Cabinet minister Steve Baker told Sky News "I very much hope the Prime Minster will feel able to bring Suella back in the New Year".
