While Nova Scotia already attracts lots of visitors with its lobsters and lighthouses, a family of ranchers is hoping to start a tourist hotspot of their own, after setting up a bison farm.

It sits in the province’s Musquodoboit Valley, about an hour from Halifax.

Global’s Heidi Petracek gives a tour of the ranch at Lindsay Lake, N.S., and speaks with the owners about why they are raising the iconic animals of the Prairies in the Atlantic province.
