U.S. President Joe Biden, alongside First Lady Jill and their furry friend the Easter Bunny, delivered remarks for Easter from the Blue Room Balcony at the White House on Monday.

The White House Historical Association and the National Park Service helped deliver thousands of commemorative eggs were sent to communities, health-care and COVID-19 vaccination centres across the country, said the president in his remarks.

"Easter's a day of joy when we celebrate resurrection and renewal. But this year, we know that many are still going without the familiar comforts of the season," said President Biden. "The virus is not gone and [for] the second year in a row most will be apart from their families, their friends and a full congregation to fill us with so much joy."

Presidential Easter remarks are White House tradition.
