BC reports 1,360 new COVID-19 cases over three days, along with 14 additional deaths | FULL

Another 1,360 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in British Columbia over the past three days, along with 14 additional deaths, health officials said Monday.

There were 443 cases from Friday to Saturday while 493 cases were reported from Saturday to Sunday, and 424 from Sunday to Monday.

Of the new cases, 291 were in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 861 were in the Fraser Health region, 36 were in Island Health, 126 were in Interior Health, and 47 were in Northern Health.

The province has now gone four consecutive days reporting fewer than 500 cases. Before Friday, the last time B.C. recorded under 500 cases was on March 17.

The 14 deaths bring the COVID-19 death toll in B.C. to 1,648.

The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 dropped by 9.5 per cent to 350. Of those patients, 132 are in intensive care, a decrease of nine from Friday.

There have been a total of 139,664 COVID-19 cases reported in B.C., of which 5,021 are active.
