The family of a man who had his throat slashed while riding a public transit bus in Surrey, B.C. is speaking out about his horrifying ordeal.

The accused attacker, Abdul Aziz Kawam, is criminally charged with attempted murder, while also facing terrorism charges for being associated with the so-called Islamic State.

As Neetu Garcha explains, it's still a mystery as to why the man was targeted, and the survivor knows how close he was to dying.
