Making babies should be one of the greatest joys in life. But for so many who want to be parents, it’s the opposite. Despite a deep longing, hearing the pitter-patter of tiny feet doesn’t happen. Science tries to help through egg donation or even surrogacy, but there are no guarantees, and when bureaucracy complicates the formula, the outcome is often heartbreak. Unbelievably, in the last few years in Australia, it has become more difficult for people struggling to start a family.
