At least 2,445 killed after Afghanistan earthquake, says Taliban

At least 2,445 people have died and thousands more injured after a powerful earthquake hit Afghanistan on Saturday, according to the Taliban administration.

The ministry of disasters reported that 9,240 people have been injured.

More than 1,300 houses have been destroyed, it added.
