Afghanistan’s interior ministry says at least 920 people have been killed in a magnitude 5.9 earthquake.
It shook the southeast in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Hundreds of people are injured and dozens trapped under rubble after buildings collapsed.
The government has appealed for assistance.
