Another earthquake shook southeast Turkey on Monday, killing at least one person, injuring at least 110, and causing 29 buildings to collapse, Turkish authorities said, triggering frantic work to rescue several people believed trapped in rubble.

Eyewitness footage shot in the southeastern province of Malatya captured the aftermath of the quake, showing dust rising from collapsed buildings.

The latest aftershock, with a magnitude of 5.6 and depth of 6.15 km hit three weeks after a massive quake that killed more than 50,000 people in Turkey and Syria.

Also: cries of "government resign" rang out from Turkish football stadiums at the weekend as fans criticized the government's response to this month's earthquakes that have killed more than 50,000 people in southern Turkey and northern Syria.

Three weeks after the devastating earthquakes, which left 1.5 million homeless, public anger and opposition towards President Tayyip Erdoğan is growing, months before he faces the toughest parliamentary and presidential elections of his 20 years in power.

Global's Alexia Kapralos reports.
