After over a year of border closures due to COVID-19, fully vaccinated tourists from the United States are finally being allowed into Canada as pandemic travel restrictions ease.

Long lines swamped entry points across the country on Monday as loved ones from south of border were eager to reunite with families, while businesses were eager to welcome back the tourist dollars they much relied on.

But as Abigail Bimman reports, the excitement is matched with fears that the reopening is too soon, as the U.S. faces another exponential surge of the virus.
