Mercedes Stephenson speaks to Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland in the wake of explosive testimony in two parliamentary committees investigating sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces.
When asked if the government will apologize to women for not taking more action, Freeland says, “…no woman serving Canada should be sexually harassed while doing that. And I'm happy right now today to apologize to any woman who was sexually harassed while serving her country.”
Also on the show is special advisor to the director-general of the World Health Organization Dr. Peter Singer to talk about the global COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine equity.
