A jury in Austin, Texas, has ordered conspiracy theorist Alex Jones to pay Sandy Hook parents an additional $45.2 million US in punitive damages over his false claims that the school shooting was a hoax orchestrated by the U.S. government to tighten gun laws. This decision comes a day after Jones was ordered to pay $4.1 million US in compensatory damages.
