Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones ordered to pay $965m to Sandy Hook families

The infamous American conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has been ordered to pay the families of the Sandy Hook school massacre $965m.

The radio host had repeatedly called the killings of 20 students in 2012 "fake".

A defamation case brought by the parents had accused him of lying about the tragedy to drive traffic to his Infowars website and profit from their distress.
