Air Canada, WestJet rank amongst poorest of North American carriers for reliability

Canada's two largest airlines now have a dubious distinction, especially as travel ramps up after two years of pandemic restrictions.

Based on monthly metrics, the information shows that American carriers of Delta and Alaska Airlines top the list at over 80 per cent reliability.

At the bottom of the list are Canadian flights — arriving on scheduled time only 38 per cent of the time, Air Canada ranked the worst of ten large North American carriers. WestJet did not fare much better, arriving on time only 54 per cent of the time.
