Fifty-eight Canadians have been airlifted out of Sudan on a German plane, as the ongoing violence pushes the African nation deeper into crisis.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the Canadian military plans to airlift more Canadians out of Sudan using a C-17 transport plane that is in the region, but there’s no word yet on when exactly it will be used.
