Five Americans imprisoned in Iran landed in Doha, Qatar Monday following a prisoner exchange between the U.S. and Iran. Siamak Namazi, Emad Sharghi and Morad Tahbaz had been serving 10-year sentences in the Islamic Republic. U.S. officials have not released the identities of the other two American prisoners. As part of the deal, five Iranian citizens held in the U.S. were released to Tehran and the Biden administration allowed almost $6 billion Iranian assets in South Korea to be unfrozen. Despite the agreement, tensions between the U.S. and Iran remain high.
