Speaking at a press conference Friday evening, Josée Kurtz, commodore of Royal Military College, named the four cadets killed in an early morning incident in Kingston, Ont.

Kurtz identified the deceased as officer-cadets Jack Hogarth, Andrei Honciu, Broden Murphy and Andrés Salek.

Kurtz said the cadets were involved in a “vehicle incident” on campus at approximately 2 a.m. ET on Friday morning.

“Four at a time, under such circumstances, it’s tough,” she said.

She said the RMC community is “devastated” by the loss of the cadets and that the college would support the families in the “tough days and weeks ahead.”
