Think 2020 and the history books will only remember this as the year of the coronavirus pandemic. But in the Indian political calendar, the list of events is exhausting. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death took a dramatic turn as his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was arrested in a drugs case. The tragic death became a political issue for bickering. Nitish Kumar won Bihar for a fourth time but with a muted mandate in a surprising election. The year, marred by coronavirus and a search for a cure, didn't disappoint when it came to politics.
