It's been 10 years since Japan was hit with a devastating triple disaster: an undersea earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident in Fukushima. The natural disaster took around 20 thousand lives and destroyed thousands of home on a stretch of Japan's pacific coast about 400 kilometers north east of Tokyo.

The effects of the disaster are still being felt to this day. Global's Sharmeen Somani shares the story of one Japanese man who still carries hope to find his wife, who was lost in the tsunami in 2011.
