“Please stop killing us,” emotional mourners lay flowers for victims of Nice church attack

Emotions were high in Nice on Friday as mourners and religious representatives of various faiths laid wreaths in front of the city's Notre Dame basilica, the site of a knife attack that left 3 dead.

A knife-wielding Tunisian man beheaded a woman and killed two other people in a church in the French city on Thursday before being shot and taken away by police authorities said.

Mourners shed tears in front of the church. One woman, who declined to give her name, said: "Please stop killing up, I can't take it anymore."

The attack came just under two weeks after a middle-school teacher in a Paris suburb was beheaded by an 18-year-old attacker who was was apparently incensed by the teacher showing a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad in class.
