A new report from the World Wildlife Fund says animal populations around the world have declined sharply over the past 50 years.
It says that overall, monitored populations of mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and fish have seen a 69 percent drop since 1970.
Populations in the biodiverse regions of Latin America and the Caribbean declined by a staggering 94 percent over the same period.
Al Jazeera’s @Alessandro Rampietti reports from Chingaza national park, Colombia.
