Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited troops near Bakhmut, where some of the most intense battles during Russia's full-scale invasion have raged for months.

Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping wrapped up his talks in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin. There was no breakthrough on ending the war in Ukraine during discussions between the leaders of the two global superpowers.
