Zambian President Edgar Lungu conceded defeat on Monday, after a landslide election win by opposition leader and businessman Hakainde Hichilema.
Voters are angry over Lungu's failure to tackle the ailing economy and his crackdown on dissent.
Hichilema succeeded on his sixth attempt to get the presidency.
Zambia’s youth largely backed the new president-elect, and now they expect him to ease repression and economic crisis.
