Touted as a miracle prevention and cure by far-right commentators and anti-vaxxers, Ivermectin is a treatment for lice and tropical parasites - not viruses.

And with doctors unwilling to prescribe it, people have rushed to farm supply stores to buy doses meant to de-worm livestock.
