Scuffles broke out between police and yellow vest demonstrators in Paris on Saturday during protests against a controversial security bill.

Significantly fewer people turned out than in previous demonstrations against proposed laws that set out to increase security forces surveillance tools and restrict rights on circulating images of police officers in the media and online.

Some at a peaceful demonstration, staged before the scuffles broke out, cited fatigue, COVID-19 and the sheer number of protests as reasons for the lower turnout.
