Women's rights: World leaders demand gender equality

The UN Secretary-General and many world leaders are calling on the international community to protect the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan.
Gender equality has been discussed in meetings and side events in New York in the hopes of making women's rights part and parcel of the UN's mission in Afghanistan.
But for Afghan women and girls, there are signs those rights are being reduced under Taliban rule.
Al Jazeera's Kristen Saloomey reports from the United Nations in New York, the US.
