A Durham woman who had her stolen vehicle recovered only to face a weeks-long delay in getting it back finally has a resolution.
Joyce Madero-Buquid’s new Jeep was stolen from her driveway and though it was recovered by police, it was held for weeks by the towing and body shop company that runs the police impound in Mississauga.
A day after Global News reported on Madero-Buquid’s predicament, the car was moved out of the impound lot to a nearby body shop to undergo repairs.
Global News’ Seán O'Shea discovered this story of frustration extends beyond one case.
