While some people were certain former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin would be convicted in George Floyd's death, others were surprised, believing it wouldn't happen.

On Tuesday, Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd, a Black man who died after Chauvin knelt on his neck for more than nine minutes during an arrest in May 2020.

There is now hope Chauvin’s conviction will be a turning point in the fight for racial justice. But as Mike Armstrong reports, those fighting to end police brutality say there is much work still to be done.
