A number of energy drinks have been recalled in Canada this summer, with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency citing issues over caffeine amounts and improper labelling.

In Canada, energy drinks can have no more than 180 milligrams of caffeine in a single serving. But energy shots - often known as the small bottles bought at a gas station or convenience store for a quick pick-me-up - remain even though some have over the allowable caffeine amount.
