A new RBC report finds job vacancies in Canada grew 22 per cent from May to June, which is over 800,000 unfilled jobs. This may be great news for people looking for a job, but it can be crippling for many businesses struggling to recover from the pandemic. And yet, Canada’s unemployment rate in July was still sitting at 7.5 per cent, significantly higher than before the COVID-19 pandemic. Global’s Sharmeen Somani reports.
